**So I had posted this closer to when I released Breeze and it somehow disappeared, so here it is again!**
The very first Breeze quilt I made was this Autumn-y, Southwest-y one. And yes, those are technical terms!
My mom has called dibs on it whenever I choose to part with this beauty. As she puts it, those are my colors….it was meant for me!
The primary difference between this and the other versions I have made is that I didn’t use the 8-at-a-time method for the half square triangles and boyyy was that a mistake! Way more futzing to get them lined up and a lot more corners getting caught in my stitch plate!
The fabrics in this Breeze quilt are again Kona Solids by Robert Kaufman in Lipstick, Bordeaux, and Stone. The back is a beautiful bold print by Kaffe Fassett for FreeSpirit.
The quilting is by Katie at Blue Door Quilting. The design is Baptist Fan.
You will find that I often take this approach when trying out a pattern I am thinking of writing….I will sew it up in solids and choose a bold coordinating print for the back.
I hope you enjoy this quilt!
